You can resist scratching it in the day but when your asleep your body does whatever it wants smetimes without you even knwing i only had this on my foot i woke up one day and it was on my thighs i did not scratch it i must have in the night while i was asleep then i started wearing these glows that doctors wear and cut my nails super short and it actually healed no drugs just resisted scratching and did the night thing and started bathing twice daily and sprinkled some water when it looked dry

@scooter80stv Yeah I’m thinking putting those gloves on during a flare-up just made things way worse, especially during the summer when it’s really hot anyway, I’m thinking that if it caused your hands to sweat more that just aggravated the eczema. Right now my hands are doing great because I ended up going to the doc and getting a steroid cream.

@SnotRockets55 I hope you have luck getting rid of it. Since the golf season ended I am having much better luck keeping it at bay. I think the bacteria in my golf gloves I wear on my left hand significantly contributes to the problem. I live in southern Ontario and the weather here also does not help. We have hot and humid summers and cold dry winters. I’ve got to really start moisturizing when the dry season hits, and make sure to keep my hands clean and dry in the summer.

@scooter80stv I noticed that the eczema on my hands these last few weeks was different from how it usually is – weepier and all the little bumps. I just assumed my hands had developed a secondary bacterial infection from me constantly scratching them. I had no idea it was a totally different form of eczema. I figured out the hot water thing on my own by accident; I’d turn the water up super-hot and stick my hands under to try and kill the itch. I’ve had eczema all my life but never pompholyx.

I have bad bad eczema, my hands start to get dry, especially my wrists, my skin then starts to peel and i get a rash. Butttttt! My mum bought methis cream called ABIDO, it really helped, it totally cleared it away, it only comes back when i don’t have the cream but it takes longer to ccome back when i don’t have the cream. It’s really good, and cheap

It’s always been on my hands and I am so embarrssed to even show them. The eczema starts at the knuckles and goes up my fingers. Some months they are perfectly fine then it just starts to happen and people use to make fun of me for it. When they see my hands they look disgusted. Has any treatment/lotion helped improve it a lot? I would really like to know, thanks!

@xGothRoseX FYI: That kind of eczema is called : Pompholyx (google it) . Most doctors havent even heard of it, let alone know how to treat it. Best advice I can give is resist the urge to itch and pop the vesicles (dots). If you pop them, they spread. Keep your hands clean, soak them in as hot of water as you can stand. Some people add vinegar or epsom salts. The bad news is, that even if you are doing everything right to get rid of them, they still take months to completely be eradicated.

@TheScript55 i have completely the same thing! I’ve tried a lot of lotions and creams but ALL of them dont even work!! I have red bumps on my fingers that pops when i scratch it!! It’s making my life a living hell!!

  12. TheScript55 says:

i have it on my fingers. my doctor keeps giving me all these different lotions, and they just make it worst. one lotion made my skin sticky and peel. i have bumps that itch like crazy, and if i scratch they pop and water comes out. well, itt looks like water. its spreading and im going to the doctor in 2 days, AGAIN. i hate eczema, its not fair that no one in my family has it but me. they dont understand what it feels like. its gross, itchy, burns, and it cracks open and bleeds. :’/

guys and girls just putting on creams or lotions will not stop eczema. eczema does not have to b a lifelong condition, it is 100% curable. dont listen to the doctors. watch my video to learn how to cure this. im just an 18 year old boy that also had to face eczema on my face but it is practically gone

My hands are 90% healed now… 6 month ordeal… was allergic to my shoes… I have latex contact allergy… Avoiding Latex allergy complex foods like bananas, tomatoes, celery, carrot, avacado, kiwi, chestnut, papaya, eggplant, also wheat gluten… Advice: elimination dieting works if yours is allergy-related. Skin heals better, faster if treated. Dry skin: soak in salt water, pat dry, cover (band-aids). Treat like 3rd degree burn: broken, bleeding skin: non-stick absorb. pads. Good luck!

Hand, and foot eczema is properly called DISHYDROSIS. The drug to cure it is called Toctino, manufactured by Baselea of Switzerland. Expensive and not available in all countries, a retinoid, so you can’t take it if you are liable to get pregnant. You can take large amounts of vitamin A for 90 days, that works too. But the side effects for the 90 days are nasty. Red dry patches that come and go, and flaky skin, then you stop taking the drug or the vit A and within a couple of weeks better.
